What to Expect at Your Golden Hour Session

If this is your first time booking a session with me, you might be wondering what actually happens once you show up on the sand. Totally normal question! Here's a full rundown of what to expect, from meeting up to getting your gallery.

Before Your Session

You'll get all your details a few days out - your meeting spot, time, and a few prep tips (outfits, what to bring, etc). I always recommend keeping an eye on the forecast too, just in case we need to make any last-minute calls.

When We Meet Up

I'll meet you right at your session location, ready to go! No need to arrive early and wait around - just show up close to your session time and we'll dive right in.

During the Session

Here's the good news: you don't have to know how to pose. That's my job! I'll guide you through prompts and movement the whole time — where to stand, how to interact with each other, little things to say to get real smiles instead of stiff ones. Some of my favorite images come from the in-between moments, so we'll leave room for laughing, chasing waves, and just being yourselves.

Sessions run about 30 relaxed minutes on the beach depending on your session type. It moves quickly, but we'll make sure to capture a good mix of posed shots and candid, natural ones so your gallery feels full and varied.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Bare feet are encouraged - it's easier, and it just looks more natural
• Kids and pets are welcome to be kids and pets - I'm not chasing a "perfect" shot every second, I'm capturing real moments
• The best shots often happen when you stop posing - so try to relax into it once we get going!

After Your Session

Once we wrap up, I get to work editing! You'll receive a gallery of 40+ fully edited images within 2–3 weeks. I'll send you both an email and a text the moment it's ready, so keep an eye out.

Come as you are, trust the process, and try to actually enjoy the session - that's when the magic happens. I promise it'll go by faster (and be way more fun) than you think!
